The Silhouette-Weekend Casual Class

Breakfast and the Museum

Coffee and the AGO

Yorkville and Shopping Marathon

A couple of weeks ago I had a chat with one of my friends, who needed some outfit ideas for a weekend date. Typical dates are usually at night for drinks or dinner. Most of us find it easy to dress for that time of the day. You want to look sexy and dressy. Usually some skinny jeans, textured top and blazer with an amazing pair of heels. But this date was scheduled for daytime.

Most of us own clothing on either end of the extreme.... super casual and super dressy. Its easy to stay uniform in one of those areas. For a date or outing with the girls during the day you never want to dress too casual(this isn't LA) or too formal (this isn't NY). These were some of my suggestions for outfit ideas. Enjoy the silhouettes. I think a good rule for day time events is mixing. Don't go too casual. Actually NEVER go too casual for whatever you are doing. Unless its a ski trip/cottage weekend. We live in the city, put on those heels! The first look is my fav. Its a nice comfy sweater with sequins which gives it a little bit of an evening feel. The light jeans are perfect for during the day; you can keep your dark ones for night time. And wedges!! My absolute favourite item right now. I wear them every day and they make me feel super sexy. These ones are by Elizabeth and James. Then to add some fun to the mix... a fur hat and Alexander Wang bucket bag. Don't forget your sunglasses!! Unless you're Victoria Beckham, you probably wouldn't be wearing those at night.

I think dressing for the daytime is a lot harder but much more fun! That is when your creativity can truly shine.

Thanks girl for the inspiration! xo
